How to set your own sound on windows events?

You can change the all windows default sound scheme that applied to events in windows and programs, just as you can change the ring tone of your mobile phone. You can add your favorite songs, movies and TV program clips as windows events sound. You can start your computer with your own voice, just record and save it in the Windows Media folder then configure as run this file when computer starts. But make sure these files must be in .wav format, you can not use other sound formats, for example mp3, avi and mp4. But you can convert these formats in .wav using any media converter software or search the web to download your favorite’s .wav clips.

Follow the given steps to edit windows default sound settings:

• To enable this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.

• First click on start button to open control panel and then click here on Sounds and Audio Devices option. 

Here a dialog box will appear with the title Sounds and Audio Devices Properties. Select the Sound tab and locate the pull-down menu under the sounds scheme. Here select the windows default scheme and press Ok to save this old sound scheme.

In the Save Scheme As dialog box, type the new name for your favorite scheme and press Ok.

Now under the labeled "Program events" select the event and click on Browse button to add new sound file from Windows Media folder (The default path of windows media folder is C:\Windows\Media).

  

 

Now you have created a customized sound scheme with your favorite’s sounds for different events.

Press Ok button to load sound.
