The text of word document can be arranged into multiple columns. The number of columns that can be created in document depends upon the size of paper. For example, in most of the newspapers and in some of the magazines, the text appears in column form.
Columns are very useful format for certain types of documents. Presenting text in columns is a powerful feature of MS-Word. It is very easy to make columns of the text.
Perform the following steps to create columns in Word document:
Select the text you want to arrange into columns.
Click the "Format "menu on the Menu bar.
Select "Columns’ command from the "Format" menu, "Columns" dialog box.
Here you can select the check box "Line between" to draw the lines between columns and click "OK" button to finish the process.
